The Diecast were the precursors of the micro line. Figures were attached to the various vehicles, instead of being removable like the later Micro line. The Darth Vader Tie Fighter and White Tie fighter both featured removable pilots, however, they were attached to the "seats" which would in turn attach to the back of the vehicle.
